About Us
At Neon, we help local food makers get their creations to their customers, so they can focus on what they do best: crafting delicious food. We’re passionate about connecting makers with foodies across the Bay Area. We carefully select who we work with to make your belly happy.
Neon is the brainchild of Bentocart and Pastel. Both companies started during the COVID-19 pandemic to help bring great food to Bay Area homes. Pastel focuses on sourcing the best treats, while Bentocart sources the best meals.
In 2022, the two companies joined forces to create Neon. The team behind Bentocart is in charge of Neon's day-to-day operations, while the Pastel team builds software to help makers manage their inventory and production.
Neon offers a maker-friendly pricing structure because we’re hyper-focused on the craft of good food and truly respect the people who make it happen, not squeezing every penny out of them or cutting them off from their supporters.
As makers ourselves, we understand the intricacies of the food industry and want to build a service that’s for makers, by makers. Come see what we’re all about!
Joseph co-founded Bentocart to deliver ready-to-eat meals from Bay Area restaurants to homes. He is also a jam maker who enjoys connecting people with good food.
Amanda and Ted, co-founders of Pastel, started their business during the COVID pandemic to deliver tasty Bay Area treats to homes. Amanda is a talented baker who also co-owns Butter&.
